  • AI Facial, Pet and Gesture Recognition: Ready to experience a better smart home? Imagine your camera can recognize your face and welcome you when you come home or recognize strangers and send out notifications to warn you. You can also trigger pre-set actions with five different gestures, which is a new and unique feature that is not available in similar products of other brands.
  • 2K 1296p Resolution & 360° Viewing Angle: The Camera Hub G3 incorporates a high-resolution 2304 x 1296 pixel sensor that results in better image quality with more details.* In HomeKit Secure Video mode, the camera records in Full HD 1080p due to the current limitations of HomeKit technology. 110° wide-angle lens coupled with the Pan and Tilt motors provides up to 340° rotation angle, supports automatic cruising, and face and pet recognition. No more Blind Areas in your home.
  • Local Control Center: As a Zigbee 3.0 hub, it can connect up to 128 Aqara Zigbee child-devices and allow for seamless integration across Aqara’s sensors and home automation devices such as home guard, data reporting and smart control. HomeKit, Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT are supported. (Note: The IR function is not currently supported by HomeKit. Instead, you can try using Aqara Home or Google Home, as well as triggering the Aqara Home scenes via Siri Shortcuts or other voice assistants.)
  • Local Infrared Control & 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi: The Camera Hub G3 has a built-in IR controller that can make your existing infrared-compatible devices smart and support local automations. All the IR automations are local and will run even if there is no internet connection. Moreover, no more worrying about network type compatibility: the Camera Hub G3 supports 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, the most popular Wi-Fi frequencies, and uses them to connect your Aqara child devices to the network.
  • We Care About Your Privacy: The G3 Camera Hub is certified by Apple, Google, and Amazon to meet all the security standards of the system of your choice. No need to worry about privacy leakage problems. It also has a hardware privacy protection mode that can be turned on manually or automatically. This mode can be easily identified by a cute sleepy face. Moreover, the data streams from the camera are encrypted and the latest Wi-Fi security standard WPA3 is supported to further protect your data.

Love it.

I wanted a HKSV camera that I could still shut off manually (physically cover the camera). Thanks to Aqara scenes now being exposed to HomeKit, you can automate this. Game changer!! The Technology Store are awesome, especially if you love Apple HomeKit. Super fast delivery. Thanks.

love them they are great. I had workmen putting in a new heat pump in. So I didn't need to watch them work and get on with other work with the camera watching them

Good for the price, but I'd pay a little more for a better implementation.

Firstly, thanks to The Technology Store - great customer service, thank you.

This camera is good value for money, but it has some shortcomings which I am sure a slightly more premium model could resolve easily.

First the good things:
1. It's very quiet, and inconspicuous. And with the software ability to turn off the power indicator light (nice touch) - it's a very pleasing looking device.
2. The person/animal tracking works well
3. Incredible power consumption, under 1.5 watts pretty amazing
3. Great price

And the constructive comments...
1. Resolution is great, but the video is so heavily compressed, moving objects (such as people walking) are a bit of a blurry/blocky mess. This also means that when the camera pans, it looks pretty terrible.
2. The pan/tilt object tracking is easily overwhelmed - unless a person is dawdling, often when they exit the field of view (to the left, or right), the camera will not pan to follow them. I suspect this is because the camera is simply attempting to keep the subject in the center of the view, but does not attempt to "find" the subject if they leave the field of view. I hope this can be resolved in a firmware update.
3. The pan/tilt motors are super quiet, to someone in the room. But if you're viewing the video stream, the motors are REALLY loud - perhaps it could mute the audio when panning/tilting? You can't hear anything but the motors at these times anyway.
4. The Apple HomeKit integration can be a little flakey. I've had several times where it doesnt let me view the live video anymore - even though I can view it through the Aqara app. Power cycling the camera is the only way to resolve.

G3 Camera

After a few teething problems (thanks to both The Technology Store and Aqara for help solving) with my Amazon account, was able to connect with Alexa. Aqara set up was a breeze. Works as it should
